I've been pretty passionate about photography for years... In the last couple of years, I have begun transforming that passion into a more thorough understanding of the technology and the art. I am obsessed with recording my voyeurism of life. I know that I have only scratched the surface with an understanding of how best to make those recordings. I spend hours every day either learning, snappin photos, or editing photos.

I am always looking for people and/or events to photograph. Please contact me if you are willing to be photographed or have event ideas for me. If you are yourself a photographer and need an assistant for the day - I am likely a willing volunteer.

Festivus for the Rest Of Us Party - December 23rd, 2010 : Mark and Felicia threw a Festivus for the Rest of Us Party!! There was copious amounts of dancin, drinkin, costumery, laughing, airing of grievances, and the occasional flash of sweet sweet girl parts!! Good Times!! Good Times!! I added a lot of pictures... mostly because I wanted to show scenes like the drunk guy fighting with the festivus pole... Rick tried to help him... and then gave up... all was well though when Karisa flashed a little ass... that distracted him from causing too much damage with the festivus pole!!!

NYE 2009 into 2010 at the Mighty Quinn House : We (Willow, Ange, Karisa, Kraig. Eric and I) started NYE off at around 5:00pm on Mississippi Ave... We barhopped across inner NE to about 5 different bars... until we were - well... pretty lit... unfortunately I didn't even bring the camera out of the car at any of the bars... We showed up at the Quinn's about 20 minutes before 2009 morphed into 2010.... there were drunk ladies with tears in their eyes, drunk gentleman with ladies in their sights, topless hairy bears, a threesome on a pole at the bottom of the stairs, more liquor, cold drunken walks in the out of doors.... yep NYE 2009 was a night to remember!! Too bad I don't...i simply recounted the story by looking at the pictures.

Photos of Beautiful People : I love to photograph as many people as I can. I love to photograph beautiful women and none are as beautiful as my wife and then my daughter. Although she never complains, I am sure to my wife's chagrin, I also ask as many people as I can if I can photograph them. I am just learning... but I love it more than I love doing anything else. I see life differently because of it... I walk in wonderment enjoying how light hits a person or a building or a tree... I spend hours everyday daydreaming about the photoshoots that are forthcoming. These are some of the pictures... hopefully over time there will be a marked improvement.

Northwest Autumn : I love Fall. It's dark long shadows engulfed in stark coldness. The deep reds and oranges that crackle when it's dry and become saturated in color when it rains. I love Halloween and Blazers and spider webs, and falling leaves. I love sexy Portland girls in their thick sweaters... the fog.. Laurelhurst Park and... of course, cemeteries. Smith Rock State Park - Labor Day 2009 : After a long fun weekend in Bend, Willow and I headed to Smith Rock State Park. We needed to detoxify and get the blood flowing back in our vodka. Neither of us had been there before... only driven by. What a beautiful spot! What diversity Oregon provides us with!! We are planning on going back for a photo shoot at sunrise and sunset this fall or early winter. These are mostly midday shots so the lighting is not so great and they definitely lack drama.

July 1, 2009 - Sideshow Speakeasy at Devils Point : Ahhh... Strong drinks... clowns lying on broken glass... clowns playing "what's up your ass" with random audience members... sexy sexy sexy belly and fire dancers... music... hilarity... good times! These were amazingly horrible shooting conditions... especially with just on camera flash. And then the photographers showed up and it was really hard to get decent shots... But.. here they are... I am posting the good (just a few of them) AND the not so good just to document the event... This is not my best work!! I wish I could do it over again... I would ask permission earlier, take different lenses... have a good flash... and a tripod.

2009 4th of July at the Beach : On a whim we took off for the coast.... to avoid the 90+ degree heat in Portland. Ange, Kraig and friends were there and it seemed like a better time than rubbin shoulders at the blues fest this year in that kind of heat.. plus Etta James had canceled so we were a little disappointed anyway. We got to the beach around 6pm. We were in Ilwaco, WA. At first, we were really disappointed.. it was freezing, there were douche bags everywhere... and having stayed up very late partying the night before... the constant stream of explosions and smoke was makin us feel psychotic.... as night fell magic happened. There wasn't a firework display... there was a mile of beach lit up by fireworks non stop... it was dramatic and awesome and as a photographer - I hate to say this... but I could not capture how intense it was with my camera.... I got a few shots though... and here they are.

2009 Portland Gay Pride Parade : The 2009 Portland Gay Pride Parade was amazing. This event is so important in the struggle for equal rights for everybody... the onlookers... that believe that rights should be extended equally to everybody that have to help end the ridiculous sanctioning of rights based on a persons choice of love or bedroom activities. Everybody has to join the fight and transform a minority voice into a majority voice!!

2009 World Naked Bike Ride - Portland Event #2 : This was the main event for the Portland World Naked Bike Ride. This was an unbelievable sight. There were literally miles of naked people... dancing, singing, laughing, and at ease. It was an incredible sight. With the exception of a few - these really aren't great pics. It was really difficult because of the movement and the darkness. I didn't have a flash and even if I would have I probably wouldn't have used it. I wanted to capture that there was nudity but didn't want 'nude' photos. The most disappointing thing for me was that I couldn't get a vantage point to capture the volume of people at this event. It was breathtaking and a ton of fun. I am in next year!!
